Linda Ann Ellis, age 54 of Brooklyn died Friday morning, December 25, 2009 at her home following an extended illness.  Funeral Services: 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, December 29, 2009, First Presbyterian Church, Brooklyn with Rev. John Reynolds officiating.  Burial will be in Brooklyn Memorial Cemetery. There will be no public visitation. In lieu of flowers memorials may be contributed to the Linda Ellis Memorial Fund, 2163 440th Ave., Guernsey, IA   52221.  Kloster Funeral Home, Brooklyn is in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by her children, Ryan Ellis of West Haven, Utah and Amanda Ellis of Cedar Rapids; her parents, Glen and Donna Stauffer; her siblings, Lynn Stauffer of Brooklyn, Laurie Grier (Tom) of Guernsey and Lisa Steffensmeier of Brooklyn. She was preceded in death by her grandparents.

Linda Ann Stauffer was born November 26, 1955 in Brooklyn, Iowa, the daughter of Glen and Donna Groves Stauffer. She graduated from BGM High School in 1974. She was employed by GTE/Iowa Telecom for 35 years.  Linda was a lifelong resident of Brooklyn. She enjoyed working with her co-workers and friends at the many community events and gatherings.  She loved her pets, traveling, and attending her children’s sporting events.  Linda enjoyed coaching Silver Spirit Dance Team, going for walks, and crafting. She especially enjoyed the many family traditions. She was a member and elder of First Presbyterian Church and also a member of the Southside Circle.
