Jane M. Fraker, age 58 of Brooklyn, died Friday, December 12, 2014 at Brooklyn Community Estate, Brooklyn. Funeral Service: 1:30 P.M. Sunday, December 14, 2014, Kloster Funeral Home, Brooklyn with Rev. John Dodds officiating. Burial will be in the Brooklyn Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 12:30 on Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be contributed to P.A.L.S. (Poweshiek Animal League Shelter) in her name.
She is survived by her siblings, Randy (Jeannie) Fraker of Fort Madison, Cheryl (Todd) Froelich, Brooklyn, WI, Carol (Charlie) Deedrick, and Dennis (Debra) Fraker of Brooklyn, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a niece.
Jane Marie Fraker was born January 7, 1956 in Grinnell, Iowa, the daughter of Carl and Eunice Ford Fraker. She was a lifelong resident of Brooklyn, graduating from BGM High School in 1975, and employed with Brookhaven Nursing Home as a CNA for 24 years.
Jane enjoyed raising rabbits, shopping and cooking. She was a great listener. She was very proud of her farm roots and had a strong love for all animals, especially her cat, Sam. She also collected animal figurines.
