Rozella Hahn, age 83, of Middle Amana, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2016. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 3, 2017, at the Middle Amana Community Church, with Elder Tony Berger officiating. Burial will be in the Middle Amana Cemetery, Middle Amana. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m., Monday, January 2, 2017, at the Middle Amana Community Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be contributed to the donor’s choice. Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, is in charge of arrangements.
Rozella Hahn is survived by five sons Fred (Marcia), Jay (Susie), Brad (Lynn), Bill (Sue) and George (Michele); thirteen grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren; a sister Betty Jones. She was preceded in death by her husband Fred in 1973, her parents, a great-grandson Timothy, a brother Ken Smith, a sister Mary Lou Nightingale.
Rozella Smith was born August 16, 1933, in Blair, Oklahoma, the daughter of Robert and Della Hagian Smith. She graduated from Amana High School in 1952. Rozella was united in marriage to the love of her life, Fred William Hahn on August 18, 1951. She will be remembered most for being a loving mom, grandma and great grandma. Her family was her world.
