Phyllis Ann Noeller, age 73 of Brooklyn, died Saturday, October 31, 2009 at her home following an extended illness. Funeral Services: 1:00 P.M. Thursday, November 5, 2009, Kloster Funeral Home, Brooklyn with Dennis Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Brooklyn Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 P.M. Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established.
She is survived by her sons, John C. Baumhoefener III and wife Leslie of Keystone and Paul James Baumhoefener and wife Wendy of Cross Junction, VA; her daughter, Barbara Nangle and husband Tim of Brooklyn; ten grandchildren, Karen (Barry) Blough, Shane Deimerly, Austin Deimerly, Jesse, Sierra, Isaac, Levi, Laura Kate, and Micah Baumhoefener, and Leslie (Dave) Kirkpatrick; and 4 great grandchildren, Joshua and Katie Blough, and David and Heidi Kirkpatrick. Also surviving is a sister Judith Newgaard of Cedar Rapids and a brother Wayne Ginn and wife Sandi of Chandler, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Marvin in 2002, and a son Tom Baumhoefener in 1976.
Phyllis Ann Ginn was born June 19, 1936 in St. Paul, Minnesota, the daughter of Morris Ginn and Vera Christenson Ginn Akers. She graduated from McKinley High School in Cedar Rapids with the class of 1953. She married Marvin P. Noeller on July 24, 1971 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Phyllis and Marvin operated with her brother Wayne and wife Sandi, the Linn County Nursery in Center Point, Iowa until retiring. After retiring, Phyllis and Marvin lived in Maui, Hawaii for 15 years. Phyllis enjoyed her family and friends, and socializing at her lake home. She also enjoyed gardening, traveling and outings to the casinos. |
