Harold E. Robinson, age 94 of Williamsburg, died Thursday, December 8, 2011 at Highland Ridge Nursing Home, Williamsburg. Funeral Services: 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, December 13, 2011, St. Paul Lutheran Church, Williamsburg with Rev. Carl Cloeter officiating.  Burial will be in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery with military honors.  Visitation: 4 to 7 P.M. Monday, December 12, 2011 at the church. A memorial fund has been established. Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo is in charge of arrangements.

Harold is survived by his wife, Elsie; a daughter Juanita Roland (Gene) of Waterloo; five grandchildren, Tonja Ludwig (Bill) of Waterloo, Dan Roland (Jeri) of Grinnell, Jenni Gault (Paul) of Kalamazoo, MI, Karri Brown (Jeff) of Kenosha, WI and Nate Durr (fiancee, Sierra) of Marengo; nine great-grandchildren, Jason and Kaden Ludwig, Lucas, Kennedy, and Briar Roland, Robbie and Rhia Durr, Raven Gault, and Lincoln Durr. Also surviving are his siblings, Avis Reed of Cedar Rapids, Loyal Robinson (Jeanette) of Cedar Rapids, Carol Robinson of Santa Barbara, CA, Marilyn Baudler of Des Moines, and Cloyd Robinson (Shirlene) of Cedar Rapids. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Patricia Durr, four brothers, Glen, Gene, Merl and Gary and two sisters, Lucille Brandt and Eunice Nerison.

Harold Earl Robinson was born January 15, 1917 in Jackson, Michigan, the son of Earl and Florence Gerard Robinson.  He attended the Iowa County schools in the Victor area, and enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1942, serving until 1946. He married Elsie Pfisterer on August 8, 1943 at Grace Lutheran Church in Blairstown. The couple farmed in the Blairstown area. In 1947 he was employed by the Leo Kelly Company in Marengo. In 1950 he went to work at Amana Refrigeration until 1957 when he worked for three years as a mechanic for his brother. From 1960 to 1986 Harold was employed by the Iowa Department of Transportation.  He also served as custodian of St. Paul Lutheran Church for many years.  Harold was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and the VFW.
