Beulah B. Roth, age 100, died Sunday, October 25, 2009 at Brooklyn Community Estates following an extended illness. Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 Wednesday, October 28, 2009, St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Brooklyn with Fr. Brian Shepley officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Brooklyn. Visitation: 4 to 7 P.M. Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at Kloster Funeral Home, Brooklyn with a Rosary recited at 4 P.M. and a Scripture Service at 7 P.M. A memorial fund has been established.
She is survived by her daughters, Kathleen Walford and husband Stanley of Brooklyn and Marilyn Green and husband Richard of Iowa Falls; ten grandchildren, David Walford, Mark Walford, Jeanne Hollopeter, Mary Ohler, Jennifer Bidler, Mike DePauw, Kathy Gilliland, Julie Green, Malea Green and Robert Green; 16 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1985, two daughters Norma DePauw and Geraldine Burns, a brother Howard Brimmer, two sisters, Wilma Keefe and Frieda Hajny, and two granddaughters, Beth Hamilton and Devran DePauw.
Beulah Belvadore Brimmer was born August 28, 1909 in Bancroft, South Dakota, the daughter of Nealy and Luetta Hilligas Brimmer. She received her education in the Brooklyn schools and married William Frank Roth on March 8, 1927 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Brooklyn. Besides being a homemaker, Beulah assisted her husband in running their business, Roth’s Place in Brooklyn. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, cooking and working with her flowers. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Brooklyn and the Altar and Rosary Society. |
