Beata M. Sandersfeld, age 94, of South Amana, died Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at Rose Haven Nursing Home, Marengo following an extended illness. Funeral Services: 10:30 A.M. Saturday, January 8, 2011 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Conroy. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Conroy, IA
Visitation: 4 to 7 P.M. Friday, January 7, 2011 at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo. Memorials may be contributed to Trinity Lutheran Church or the Lutheran Interparish School (LIS).

Beata is survived by a son Tom Sandersfeld of Williamsburg, a daughter Kim Knight of Tempe, AZ; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Doris Heitshusen of Luzerne and Ramona Huedepohl of Millersburg and a brother Eldon Weiss of Ladora. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Everett, and a brother Leroy Weiss.

Beata Marie Marita Weiss was born August 26, 1916 in Seward, Nebraska, the daughter of Walter William Weiss and Marie Neitzel Weiss.  She was raised in Lincoln Township. She married Everett August Sandersfeld on October 16, 1941 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lincoln Township. The couple resided in South Amana. Beata was a wife, mother and homemaker. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Conroy, past treasurer of the E.S.R., and secretary-treasurer for 17 years of the Aid Association for Lutherans local chapter. She enjoyed playing cards, and gardening.
