Christopher Allyn Vogt was born November 9, 1967 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of John and Carol Ann Zuber Vogt. He was raised on the family farm and quickly learned the mechanics of farming. He graduated from Iowa Valley High School with the Class of 1986. He was employed by Goodyear, Kinze Manufacturing, and presently had been a mechanic with the Amana Farms. He was skilled in many avenues of repair. He specialized in welding, sandblasting and painting. His welding business had been growing rapidly as was the sandblasting business. He enjoyed spending his evenings and weekends working on machinery for neighbors and friends. But Chris’s greatest joys were attending farm auctions and working on old trucks and cars with his son Cody. Chris was known for his great wit and his loyalty to his friends and family. He was a hard worker but always had time to sit and visit with his friends.
He will be greatly missed by his family as well as his many friends. May he finally have the peace he so longed for. He was truly loved. |
