Ronnie Vols, age 65, of Pleasant Hill, formerly of Brooklyn and Grinnell, died Sunday, September 11, 2016. Funeral Services: 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 16, 2016, at Kloster Funeral Home, Brooklyn, with Fr. Corey Close officiating. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Brooklyn. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m., prior to the service, at Kloster Funeral Home, Brooklyn.
Ronnie is survived by a brother David (Marlene) Vols of Ankeny; and two sisters Ilene Hagen, of Knoxville and Lilly (Armando) Sesma, of Cedar Falls. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a son-in-law Harold Hagen.
Ronnie Vols was born August 27, 1951, in Belle Plaine, the son of Morris and Louise Kaplan Vols. He graduated from HLV High School in 1970. In his earlier years, Ronnie was a crop and livestock farmer. He loved spending time with family and his dog Rinney. He enjoyed listening to music and eating McDonald’s Big Macs.
