| Marlene D. Collingwood, age 69, died Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at her home following an extended illness. Funeral Services: 10:30 A.M. Friday, December 26, 2008 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Marengo with Rev. Douglas Morton officiating. Burial will be in the Marengo Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 P.M. Thursday, December 25, 2008 at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo. A memorial fund has been established.
She is survived by her husband Dale; three daughters, Beverly Belzer and husband Scott of Conroy, IA, Deb Allison and fiance Steve Nelson of Lake Villa, IL, Lisa Mathiasmeier and husband Mike of Mediapolis, IA; 8 grandchildren, Brandi Wiebold Collingwood of Williamsburg, IA, Dustin Wiebold of Conroy, IA, Dana Wiebold of Cedar Rapids, IA, Ryan Wichmann of Chicago, IL, Stephanie Allison of Lake Villa, IL, Amanda Mathiasmeier of Irvine, CA, Alissa Mathiasmeier of Tempe, AZ, and John Mathiasmeier of Mediapolis, IA; two brothers, Vincent Foubert of Columbia, MO and Dean Foubert of Ashfork, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister in infancy.
Marlene Deloris Foubert was born February 11, 1939 in Millersburg, IA, the daughter of Harry Foubert and Doris Dillon Foubert. She graduated from Millersburg High School in 1957 and received her teaching degree from Concordia University in Seward, NE. Marlene taught at Immanuel Lutheran School in St. Charles, MO before marrying Dale Collingwood on July 19, 1959 at the Millersburg Lutheran Church. She taught Sunday and Bible school and also was a daycare provider for many years. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Marengo. |
