Caleb Lee Cronbaugh, age 19, died Saturday, June 20, 2009 in a single car accident near Ladora, Iowa. Funeral Services: 10:30 A.M. Thursday, June 25, 2009 at the Iowa Valley High School Gymnasium, Marengo, with Pastor Paul Moore officiating. Burial will be in the Koszta Cemetery, rural Marengo. Friends may call from 2 to 8 P.M. Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at Kloster Funeral Home in Marengo. A memorial fund has been established.

Caleb is survived by his mother Brenda Sedlacek of Marengo; his father Curtis Cronbaugh (Kim) of Marengo; his brother and “best friend” Chad Cronbaugh (fiancée Ashlea Housman); 3 sisters, Annie Rabe (Adam), Alexis Rohrer and Alyssa Rohrer, all of Marengo; and the love of his life Marissa Casey of Marengo. Also surviving are his grandparents, Charles and Susan Cronbaugh of Marengo, Verlyn Zuber (Mary) of Belle Plaine and Beth Milling of Newhall; great-grandmother, Carol Kensler of Marengo; a niece and nephew Aiden and Alivia Rabe; numerous aunts and uncles including Marilyn and Dan Mouchka of Victor, and Rick and Tracy Zuber of Fountain Valley, CA; many cousins including Bryant Westfall of Amana and Karyssa and Addysyn Westfall of Millersburg; and countless friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Connie and Curly Storck, great-grandfather Gaylen Kensler, great-grandparents, Cecil and Maxine Cronbaugh and a great-uncle Celaine Cronbaugh.

Caleb Lee Cronbaugh was born August 19, 1989 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Curtis and Brenda Cronbaugh. He received his education in the Iowa Valley schools and graduated from Iowa Valley High School in 2008. He worked in the landscaping and construction trades. He spent his free time hunting, fishing, farming, tending his cattle, riding dirt bikes, and lifting weights. He especially enjoyed the time he spent with his family, friends and Marissa. Caleb was a joy to his parents, loved deeply by his family and will be missed greatly by all who knew him.
