| Margie
Jane Cronbaugh, age 84, died Wednesday, March 9, 2005 at
University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City following a brief
illness. Funeral Services: 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 12,
2005, First Presbyterian Church, Marengo with Rev. Paul
Moore and Rev. Delbert Rankin officiating. Burial will be
in the Koszta Cemetery, rural Marengo. Friends may call
from 4 to 8 P.M. Friday, March 11, 2005 at Kloster Funeral
Home, Marengo. Memorials may be contributed to the Oaklawn
Church of God or the Iowa Valley Community Schools.
Survivors
include a daughter, Tami Overturf (Jim) of Cedar Rapids,
a son, Rick Cronbaugh (Teri) of Marengo; 6 grandchildren,
Erik Overturf (Stephanie) of Jacksonville, FL, Jill Overturf
Aldrich (Chad) of Glendale, CA, Aaron Cronbaugh (Trish)
of Marengo, Ashley Cronbaugh of Chicago, Jason Cronbaugh
(Erin) of Kansas City, MO, and Kari Simpson (Russ) of Olathe,
KS; two great-grandchildren, a step great-grandchild; and
a sister Janis Hinrichs (Gary) of Marengo. She was preceded
in death by her parents, her husband, Carroll in 1994, a
son Terry, and a brother, Bob.
Margie
Jane Paulson was born July 22, 1920 in Albert Lea, MN, the
daughter of Rueben and Hattie Halverson Paulson. She graduated
from Marengo High School in 1939. Margie married Carroll
Cronbaugh on October 4, 1941 in Marengo. The couple farmed
in Honey Creek Township for over 50 years. In 1997, Margie
moved to Marengo.
She was a member of the Oaklawn Church of God in Koszta,
was a former 4-H leader, and volunteered at the hospital
and the Iowa County Historical Society. She enjoyed all
sports and traveling and especially enjoyed spending time
with her family and grandchildren.
