K. Joyce Danskin, age 89 of Marengo, Iowa, died Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at the Marengo Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.  Memorial Services: 11:00 A.M. Thursday, November 12, 2009 at Trinity United Church of Christ, rural Marengo with Rev. Bev Thompson-Travis officiating. Inurnment will be in Green Acres Cemetery, Scottsdale, AZ.  Friends may call from 5 to 7 P.M. Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo.  Memorials may be contributed to Trinity United Church of Christ.

Joyce is survived by a son, Daniel Danskin of Phoenix, AZ and a granddaughter Karen Danskin. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1994, and a sister Betty Jane Burm.

Kathleen Joyce Burm was born August 6, 1920 in Centralia, IL, the daughter of Louis J. and Nancy VanDee Burm.  She graduated from Lake Forest High School, Lake Forest, IL in 1940 and attended Northwestern University in Evanston, IL for 2 years.  She married Clyde Danskin on June 27, 1941 in Lake Forest, IL. The couple resided in Des Moines, IA for a short time, then moved to the Marengo area to farm with Clyde’s parents.  Following Clyde’s death on October 3, 1994, Joyce moved into Marengo. Joyce was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, rural Marengo.
