Lorraine Estes, age 87, of Brooklyn, died Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at Brooklyn Community Estate following an extended illness. There will be no services. Friends may call from 5 to 7 P.M. Thursday, January 15, 2009 at Kloster Funeral Home in Brooklyn. A memorial fund has been established. Burial will be at Southern Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Sierra Vista, Arizona at a later date.

She is survived a son, Martin Estes (Alice) of Chandler, Arizona; three daughters, Janet Castaneda (Conrad) of Rocklin, CA, Joan Klose (P. Lawrence) of Green Valley, AZ, and Mary Salgado (William) of Tempe, AZ; 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Frances Griffith of Brooklyn, and Emma Phelan of Cherokee, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Helen Roth Leeper, her husband Robert Hayden Estes, three brothers, Robert, William, and Charles Leeper and 2 sisters, Mary Couburn and Polly Calderwood.
