Mildred Ruth Fuller, age 89 of Marengo, died Friday, January 25, 2013 at the Marengo Memorial Hospital. Funeral Services: 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, January 29, 2013, Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo with Rev. Jim Davis officiating. Burial will be in Genoa Bluff Cemetery, rural Ladora. Visitation: after 9:30 A.M. until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established.
Mildred Ruth Conrad was born July 23, 1923, in rural Marengo, Iowa, the daughter of John and Emma Bollenbacher Conrad. She attended the Oak Grove School, rural Marengo. Mildred married Harley Fuller on February 17, 1952 in Marengo. Besides being a homemaker, Mildred worked for a time at the nursing home, at the bakery in Marengo, and also in Amana. She also worked at the Amana Woolen Mill. Mildred enjoyed car races, reading and crossword puzzles. She was a member of the Ladora Methodist Church.
Mildred is survived by nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harley in 1992, a daughter Linda Kay in infancy, a son Richard in 2011, and four sisters, Marie Finley, Irma Wiedemeier, Selma Kuhnle and one sister in infancy.
