Colleen M. Goettsch, age 83, died Friday, March 3, 2006 at Living Center West in Cedar Rapids, following an extended illness. Funeral Services: 11:00 A.M. Monday, March 6, 2006, Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo with Rev. Morris Hurd officiating. Burial will be in the Marengo Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 9:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home.

She is survived by two sons, Dan (Delores) of Cedar Rapids, and Randy of Collins; two daughters, Dona Lynn Venable of North Carolina and Diane Blattel of Des Moines; a sister, Jeri Young (Ron) of Cascade; 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Wayne, Dale and James Klein, two sisters, Dorothy and Marilyn and a granddaughter, Julie.

Colleen May Klein was born September 21, 1922 in Homestead, Iowa, the daughter of Roy and Bertha Thompson Klein. She received her education in the Iowa County schools. Colleen was a cashier for Osco Drug for many years and also worked as a waitress. She lived in Webster City and the Maxwell are prior to moving to Cedar Rapids.

She was a member of the Webster City Methodist Church, and Milestones in Cedar Rapids. She especially enjoyed crafts.
