Donna Lee Jones, age 78 of Brooklyn, formerly of Fairborn, OH, died Saturday, December 27, 2008 at Brooklyn Community Estates in Brooklyn, following an extended illness. There will be no local services. Graveside Services will be held in Park Layne, Ohio at a later date. Kloster Funeral Home, Brooklyn, Iowa is in charge of local arrangements.

She is survived by three daughters, Debra Hoecker of Oakland Park, FL, Donnette Coburn (Don) of Brooklyn, IA, and Donnelle Bartlett (Jeff) of Desoto, TX; two bonus children, Mark Peterman (Amy) of Huber Heights, OH, and Tamara Morrissette of Hilliard, OH; 11 grandchildren, 4 bonus grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and 4 bonus great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters, Virginia Murdock (Tom) of Florida, Mary P. Schiere of Ohio and Judith Whalen of Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husbands, Richard Walter Houk and Harry Newton Jones.

Donna Lee Schieve was born July 21, 1930 in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of Arthur Schieve and Madeline Nauman Schieve. Donna was employed as a typesetter for Allied Publications for many years. She married Richard Houk in 1960. He died in 1975. She later married Harry Newton Jones, Jr.. He died in 1996. Donna has resided in Brooklyn, Iowa since 2006.
