| David F. Maschmann, age 65, of Miller, MO, formerly of the Williamsburg area, died unexpectedly at his home in Miller on Monday, July 18, 2005. The family will receive friends from 3 to 7 P.M. on Saturday, July 23, 2005 at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo. Private family services will be held at a later date. A memorial fund has been established.
He is survived by three daughters, Denise (Rick) Sieck of Elberon, anglea Maschmann of Ottumwa, and Judy (Dan) Yuska of Toledo; ten grandchildren, Lindsay and Brandon Young, Shalina Maschmann, Lacie and Derek Kriegel, Danny Jr. and Brian Yuska, and Kaiyla, Kelsey, and Kaleigh Sieck; and two sisters, Gloria (Jim) Cates of Pahrump, NV, and Margie (Ted) Harden of Las Vegas, NV. He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, John James.
David Frederick Maschmann was born June 20, 1940 in Williamsburg, Iowa, the son of Frederick and Dorothea Drake Maschmann. He received his education in the Williamsburg parochial schools and attended Williamsburg High School. He married Carol Ann Griffin on August 26, 1961 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Marengo. The couple later divorced. David farmed in earlier years and was employed with Jones Trucking and Gahring Trucking firms of Williamsburg. For the last 35 years he has owned and operated his own rig and was leased to Boomerang Trucking of Mount Vernon, MO. He loved farming and driving his semi. He also was a charter member of the Rod Hawks Car Club. |
