William Albert Montgomery, Jr. age 58, died Friday, June 5, 2009 at the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City, IA. Graveside Memorial Service: 11:00 A.M. Friday, June 12, 2009 at the Brooklyn Memorial Cemetery, Brooklyn, Iowa with Rev. John Reynolds officiating. There will be no visitation. A memorial fund has been established. Kloster Funeral Home, Brooklyn is in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by two sons, Brandon Montgomery (Diana) and Sean Montgomery, both of Denver, CO; a granddaughter Sophia; and a brother David Montgomery (Carla) of Chicago, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Jim Montgomery.

William Albert Montgomery, Jr. was born April 25, 1951 in Grinnell, Iowa, the son of William A. Montgomery and Jane C. Wells Montgomery. He graduated from Brooklyn High School and then went on to graduate from AIB College of Business. He was employed as a bookkeeper and accountant for many years. William enjoyed playing cards with his friends, and playing the piano and keyboard. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed following the Cubs, Yankees, 49er’s and NASCAR. William was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Brooklyn and the Corinthian Lodge Masonic Temple.
