Wilma L. Moore, age 92 of Marengo, formerly of Estherville, Iowa, died Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Rose Haven Nursing Home, Marengo, Iowa. Funeral Services: 10:30 A.M. Saturday, June 29, 2013, First United Methodist Church, Marengo, with Rev. Matt German officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date at Oak Hill Cemetery, Estherville, Iowa. Visitation: 4 to 7 P.M. Friday, June 28, 2013, Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo. A memorial fund has been established.
She is survived by her sons, Jerry A. Markley (Jennifer) of Spencer, and James M. Markley of Perry; two daughters, Joan Heldt (Harry) of Homestead, and Joyce Harris (Bob) of Waynesville, MO; eight grandchildren, Michael Heldt of Boulder, CO, Marsha Heldt of Coralville, Monica Kersten of Columbus, IN, Jerry Markley, Jr. of Ruthven, Wayne Markley of Spencer, Scott Larson of Estherville, Bobbie Harris of Waynesville, MO and Tonnia Markley of Des Moines; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands Hugh M. Markley and Claude A. Moore, two brothers, William and Carl Hiveley; and five sisters Annie Hiveley, Agnes Bunnell, Marie Clark, Leona Schubert, and Jenny Hanson.
Wilma Louise Hiveley was born November 11, 1920 in Estherville, Iowa, the daughter of William and Goldie Thompson Hiveley. She received her education thru the eighth grade. She was united in marriage to Hugh Markley in 1940. He passed away, and she then married Claude Moore. Wilma was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker. Wilma enjoyed playing cards, going bowling and baking. She especially enjoyed caring for her children and her home.
