| Hildegard Schultz, age 92, died Friday, December 9, 2005 at Colonial Manor of Amana following a brief illness. Funeral Services: 10:00 A.M. Monday, December 12, 2005, Middle Amana Community Church, Middle Amana with Elder Mike Shoup officiating. Burial will be in the Amana Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 5 P.M. Sunday, December 11, 2005 at the Middle Amana Community Church. Memorials may be contributed to the Amana Church Society or the charity of the donor’s choice. Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo is in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by a sister, Else Dziennik of Calbe, Germany and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband George on April 19, 1978, her parents, two brothers and a sister.
Hildegard Gellart was born June 8, 1913 in Posen Germany, the daughter of Otto and Martha Gellart. She married George Schultz in April of 1940 in Germany. The couple immegrated to the United States in 1950. Hildegard worked for many years at the Amana Woolen Mill as a weaver. She enjoyed gardening and traveling. She was a member of the Amana Church Society.
