Harry C. Stephan, age 59 of Marengo, died Tuesday evening, June 20, 2006 at the Marengo Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. Funeral Services: 10:30 A.M. Friday, June 23, 2006 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Marengo with Pastor Douglas Morton officiating. Burial will be in the Marengo Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 P.M. Thursday, June 22, 2006 at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo.

He is survived his wife Dianne; two sons, Shawn and wife Tammy, and Christopher and wife Tonya, all of Marengo; three grandchildren, Tristan, Dylan and Devin; two sisters, Edie McCaw and husband Don of Dike, IA and Barbara Kelly and husband Dick of Nissawa, MN; and a great-aunt Martha Whitlock of Marengo. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Harry Calvin Stephan was born July 22, 1946, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Harry Sr. and Elaine Destival Stephan. He received his education in the Marengo schools and graduated in 1964. Harry married Dianne Possehl on November 3, 1973 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He was a machinist at Goss Manufacturing for 25 years. He then was employed by American Colorgraphics in Marengo and the last 3 years has worked at Acro Manufacturing in Cedar Rapids.

He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Marengo and the Amana Sportsman Club. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, and hunting.
