Kenneth W. Strasser, age 62, died Monday, December 10, 2007 at the VA Medical Center in Iowa City following an extended illness. The family will greet friends from 12 to 3 P.M. Sunday, December 16, 2007 at the Marengo American Legion Hall. Military Honors will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. at the hall followed by a luncheon. Private family graveside services will be held at a later date. A memorial fund has been established. Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo is in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by his daughter, Erica Strasser and fiancé Brian VanThournout of Newhall; his son, Brandon and wife Rachelle of Williamsburg, three grandchildren, Tyrany Strasser, Baily Sonka and Lexie Sonka; and two brothers, Ron and wife Rose of Marengo and Jim and wife Judy of Morning Sun, IA. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a son Shon who died in 1999.

Kenneth William Strasser was born June 28, 1945 in Harper, Iowa the son of Morris and Helen Bohrn Strasser. He graduated from Marengo High School in 1964 and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Kenny was employed at Amana Refrigeration for 28 years.
