Grace E. Weisskopf, age 85, died Friday evening, August 19, 2005 at Rose Haven Nursing Home, Marengo following an extended illness. Funeral Services: 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 23, 2005, Trinity United Church of Christ, rural Marengo with Rev. Lynne Bisson officiating. Burial will be in the Zion Cemetery rural Williamsburg. Friends may call from 4 to 8 P.M. Monday evening, August 22, 2005 at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo. Memorials may be contributed to the Trinity UCC Building Fund.

She is survived by two sons, Robert (Carol) of Grinnell, Ronald (Gilda) of Grinnell; two daughters, Marilyn Weisskopf of Newton, Joyce (Kim) Keiser of Marengo, seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lester on May 20, 1995, one brother Raymond, and a sister Marie Rhinehart.

Grace Elizabeth Byerly was born December 13, 1919 in rural Brooklyn, the daughter of Oliver and Sada Hopkins Byerly. She received her education in the Poweshiek County schools and married Lester D. Weisskopf on February 2, 1938 in the Trinity UCC Parsonage. She was a homemaker throughout her life. Grace was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ and enjoyed Women’s Fellowship, Embroidering, Tri-Chem Painting, Gardening, Canning, and spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
